Bishop George F. Henfield is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Family Empowerment Center, located in Waipahu Hawaii and the overseer of the Empowerment International Fellowship. Bishop George F. Henfield was born in Manhattan, New York to Reverend Roderick L. and Mabel P. Henfield. He is the youngest of six sons. He is the husband of one wife, Pastor Cassandra Henfield for the past 34 years, and a dedicated father to two married daughters, Sernearia (Cece), and Shavon. He is also the loving grandfather to Ky’andra (Keyandra) Hill and Ky’Mille (Camille) Carter.

In 1979 he enlisted in the United States Army where he served tours of duty in West Germany, Ft Sill, Oklahoma, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland, Ft. Riley, Kansas, Korea and his final tour, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. He is currently retired after serving 20 years and 19 days.

Bishop George F. Henfield acknowledged his call to the ministry in 1979 at House of Prayer, Church of God in Christ in Ansbach, Germany. He served the Lord in many capacities. Upon arriving to Hawaii, he served as an assistant Pastor, Jurisdictional Evangelist for the 1st Jurisdiction of the Churches of God in Christ and and at one time served as Bishop and First Assistance of Mission for Today Council of Christian Churches. Bishop Henfield’s vision for the body of Christ is to train and develop them so they are equipped to reach the harvest. Fulfilling the mandate set in Eph. 4:12. “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry….”

Bishop George F. Henfield has taken courses at Moody Bible Institute and holds a B.A. in Substance Abuse Counseling from Hawaii Pacific University. Currently he is pursuing his Masters and PhD in Family Counseling.
